Craig Pond Wilderness Lodge is a historic wilderness property on almost 3,000 feet of private waterfront in Orland, Maine — once a busy boys’ wilderness camp, now a quiet, off-grid basecamp for families, anglers, paddlers and winter adventurers.
There are no power lines and no crowds — just historic cabins, clean water, and direct access to fishing, canoeing, hiking, snowmobiling and ice fishing, all close enough to town for supplies when you need them. Solar power banks in the cabins keep phones charged and the LED lanterns and porch lights on.

Before you book
Good to Know Before You Go
There is no grid-tied electricity. Each cabin has a small solar power bank, charged by rooftop solar, which provides power for cell phones and for electric lanterns and flashlights. Fully charged, it can also run a CPAP machine.
No — we are not able to host pets at the lodge. Please contact us if you are staying with a registered service animal.
Craig Pond — salmon, brook trout, lake trout (togue) and pumpkinseed sunfish.
Alamoosook Lake — smallmouth and largemouth bass, pickerel and perch.
Toddy Pond — lake trout, landlocked salmon, smallmouth and largemouth bass, pickerel and white perch.
